1)hisoka asked him to join the PT so that illumi could kill him(hisoka) (they already expected themselves to kill each other one day later so it’s like, arranging a hisoillu death match earlier)
2)They are engaged to each other and illumi will be the benefactor if hisoka dies (more money for illumi if he kills hisoka) [stated in their pre marriage contract ]
